Avolution has been recognized by Gartner Inc.® as a Leader in its Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools*, published 20 November 2023. ABACUS was also ranked first in all five Use Cases in the companion report: Gartner’s® Critical Capabilities for Enterprise Architecture Tools 2023*.
The 2023 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools evaluated 15 vendors on their Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision and positioned Avolution in the Leaders Quadrant. Avolution has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for the 7th year in a row.
Avolution’s Dr Tim O’Neill said: “We believe our recognition as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant acknowledges that ABACUS has broad appeal to architects and business teams, across regions and industries.”
“Our graph database accommodates both traditional standards and new styles of enterprise architecture.
“For instance, we continue to expand our support for cloud and security-architecture documentation with cloud icon library updates and cybersecurity modeling capabilities using NIST and other security frameworks.”
ABACUS also continues to support and improve functionality for core architecture skills and deliverables. Users can:
- Architecture Modeling: build freeform canvas-and-stencil diagrams with customizable icons and annotations, or use autogenerated diagrams, to capture IT and business architectures
- Data-Driven Roadmaps: set up and automate your chosen analysis eg. cost trends, security scores, technical debt reduction. Pre-built or customized algorithms can streamline financial and technical reporting, and machine learning supports data-completion.
- Tailored Communication and Collaboration: ask your teams what reports they need and design dashboards to track business capabilities, technology lifecycles, metrics and processes. Use browser-editable lists, tables and diagrams to keep content up-to-date easily. ABACUS also provides comprehensive permissions and workflows management for collaboration.
Avolution’s global offices allow 24 hour support spanning all time-zones, and 13 hosting locations are distributed across North America, South America, Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia.
This year Gartner note they have adjusted the weight of different evaluation criteria in the Magic Quadrant. The most notable shifts in this year’s analysis include:
- Reduced focus on tool features and functionality, as this is better assessed in the Gartner Critical Capabilities for Enterprise Architecture Tools 2023
- A more balanced focus on growth and market share, which enables a more informed view of how the current market is evolving and its future direction
