Avolution is the first software vendor to provide fully updated support for the new TOGAF® Standard, Version 9.2, launched last week at the Open Group London conference.
The TOGAF framework is an Open Group standard used by 70,000+ practitioners worldwide to design, plan and implement enterprise architecture and solution architecture.
Avolution’s Dr Tim O’Neill said:
“We understand how useful the TOGAF standard is for many architects. The adaptability of ABACUS as a tool means it’s very straightforward to update frameworks and metamodels. So, we’re delighted to provide these TOGAF 9.2 updates quickly to our users.”
In particular, the updated TOGAF 9.2 Value Stream, Business Capability and Course of Action content metamodel concepts are now available in the ABACUS tool. This included the addition of several new entity and relationship types and new catalogues, matrices and diagrams – known as artefacts in TOGAF – to support them.
The Open Group explains that TOGAF 9.2 has further emphasis on Business Architecture, Digital Trends, and Business Transformation beyond IT. TOGAF® Standard, Version 9.2 is the first major update to the TOGAF standard since TOGAF Version 9.1 was published in December 2011.
ABACUS is an Open Group Certified TOGAF tool, providing 100% ‘Out-of-the-box’ functionality conformance with all Architecture Content Framework requirements. ABACUS is also certified for Archimate 3.0 from the Open Group.
