Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant 2022

Latest Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Enterprise Architecture Tools positions Avolution in Leaders Quadrant for the 6th year in a row.

Avolution has been recognized by Gartner Inc. as a Leader in its Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools*, published 12 December 2022.

Avolution’s ABACUS has also received the highest scores for all five Use Cases in the Gartner Critical Capabilities for Enterprise Architecture Tools 2022**

The 2022 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools evaluated 15 vendors on their Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision and positioned Avolution in the Leaders Quadrant. Avolution is also placed furthest to the right on the Completeness of Vision axis.

ABACUS supports enterprise architects, business architects, solution architects, project managers and CIOs to provide visibility of their technology landscape and business strategy.

Avolution’s Dr Tim O’Neill said: “We believe our recognition as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant acknowledges that ABACUS consistently delivers in supporting architects and the many teams they work with day to day.

“We were the first platform to provide architects with a graph database as the basis for their work analyzing current and future state models of the enterprise and building roadmaps to move businesses forward.

“This means that ABACUS continues to be able to adapt and evolve to meet the needs of a wide range of enterprises. We also provide templates, standards and analysis tailored for specific industries such as financial services, essential infrastructure, healthcare, government or education.

“Architects can take a consultative approach, adjusting to the way data is named, structured and maintained for business teams. They can quickly update the dashboards they use to communicate their progress, so visualizations and metrics are clear and concise.

“EA teams can also work in an agile way by folding in new standards which are added to ABACUS regularly, such as NIST for cybersecurity, ESG metrics, or cloud architecture icon libraries from AWS, Azure and Google.”

The challenges of the 2020s have shown that nimble technology management including data-driven guidance is needed for resilience and growth. ABACUS continues to provide connected diagrams and data, best-in-class analytics and scenario planning. These support organizations as they collaborate to manage cloud and application portfolios, technical debt, costs, risks and growth strategies.

Avolution’s global offices allow 24 hour support spanning all time-zones, and 13 hosting locations distributed across North America, South America, Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Asia Pacific and Southeast Asian regions.

Popular features in ABACUS include browser-editable catalogs, diagrams and dashboards for SaaS collaboration across the business, graph analytics and visualizations and visual filtering for quick dependency and impact analysis, and no-code algorithms to calculate metrics, allowing values to be rolled up or across the graph database or colour-coded for reporting.
