Avolution recognized in Gartner's Market Guide EBPA

Avolution has been recognized by Gartner Inc., as a Representative Vendor in its “Market Guide for Enterprise Business Process Analysis” published July 2020.

The need for organisations to adapt and respond effectively to change is more important than ever. To do this, companies need visibility of the impact their processes, products and services have on business outcomes.

Gartner explains in the Market Guide for Enterprise Business Process Analysis that: “EBPA [Enterprise Business Process Analysis] tools sit at the intersection of process automation, business activity monitoring and organizational change initiatives.”

“EBPA is the discipline of business and process modeling aimed at transforming and improving business performance with an emphasis on cross-viewpoint, cross-functional analysis to support strategic and operation decisions,” explain the analysts in the Gartner report.

More organisations are applying EBPA concepts to help transform and improve their business performance and outcomes and monitor their digital operations in real-time.

In the Market Guide, Gartner analysts recognize a variety of vendors based upon their capabilities for four common EBPA use-cases;

  • Supporting Digital Transformation by Linking Strategy to Execution
  • Improving Processes by Process Modeling Analysis
  • Assessing the Impact of Change by Connecting Process Models with Enterprise Architecture
  • Modeling, and Preparing Business Processes for DigitalOps.

The report states “in comparison to the previous version of this research, we have combined some of the generally available capabilities and have reflected emerging capabilities covering business modeling focused on business operations, ecosystems support, advanced analytics, and innovation support. All of these capabilities contribute to bringing EBPA tools closer to the business user.”

Avolution was recognized for its ABACUS toolset. ABACUS supports enterprise architecture, strategy and digital operations through modeling, analysis, and roadmapping.

Avolution’s Dr Tim O’Neill said: “We believe our recognition as a Representative Vendor in the Gartner Market Guide for Enterprise Business Process Analysis validates why practitioners can rely on ABACUS to provide visibility of connectivity across business, operational and technology processes. They can also access real-time business metrics and financial analytics calculations.”

ABACUS 7 offers best-in-class modeling and roadmapping and analytics plus additional features to speed understanding of enterprise ecosystems. This includes using machine-learning-generated values for producing a more complete dataset quickly, and graph visualizations for exploring business and technical connections and interdependencies.
