AWS and Azure Architecture Shape Libraries Updated

8 September 2021

ABACUS has been updated with new AWS and Azure shapes and icons. These can be managed in custom shape libraries to create architecture diagrams quickly and easily.

Architects can also create their own custom shape library, extending standard graphics from AWS, Azure, ArchiMate or other notations by adding their own icons or graphics for routers, switches or other business or technical components.

Architects can use shape libraries in ABACUS to quickly switch between technical or business-friendly icons or styles.

Other notations and frameworks available in ABACUS include ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML, SysML, BPMN & TOGAF.

  • World According To (Department)
  • World According To (Information)

These diagrams have been updated to allow users to specify whether they want connections to be queried only when they are coming from the main component.

The image on the left traces the relationships from all applications with the corresponding platform services. The image on the right now only shows the relationships between the main component and the corresponding platform services.
